Every month, millions of Dominican families wait anxiously for money from loved ones in the United States. They wait days. They pay fees that eat into every dollar. They accept exchange rates that don't reflect the true value of their money.
We founded Ahi Wallet because we've lived this problem. As Dominican-Americans, we've seen firsthand how slow, costly, and opaque sending money home can be for families on both sides of the border.
The technology to move money instantly and cheaply already exists. Banks use it every day. Yet somehow, sending $200 to your grandmother in Santo Domingo still costs $15 and takes 3 days.
That's why we're building Ahi Wallet - a modern remittance platform that uses the latest financial technology to deliver the speed, transparency, and low costs that families deserve. Built by Dominicans, for Dominicans.
